The Wolves position on the ladder does not reflect the quality of their play, they are a very good big squad.
In what is becoming our signature style it was a game of 2 halves.
I don’t know how many times Terry has told the boys to come out fighting and shock the opposition in the first 15 minutes.
As usual we were asleep and the Wolves put away a quick goal to open up the score sheet 1 to nil.
We struggled to put a half a dozen passes together and the wolves pressed hard and waited for the mistakes.
The lads just were not finding their man and seemed to be looking at their feet.
There where good shadow and supporting runs that are not being realised on the field.
We went to the dressing shed at half time and looked like we were going to gift the Wolves an easy game.
Terry repeated to the boys to remember the work put in at training and to control the game.
The simple things, structure, support and accurate quick passing was the only way to win this game.
Again it was going to be a struggle from behind and a true grit performance to grind out a fair result.
It was a different team that emerged for the restart and the boys put a couple of good passages together which resulted in 2 goals.
The game was hard and hopefully a bit can be learned from it so that we can lift for Olympic and Mt Druitt next week.
