St George FC are pleased to announce the appointment of David Perkovic as first grade coach for the upcoming PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 2 season.

Perkovic was most recently coaching in the Philippines with Jaya FC, where he was based for eighteen months before returning to Australia midway through 2014. Having retained a keen interest in the NPL since returning to the country, Perkovic had no hesitation in seeking another coaching role, having previously coached Fraser Park prior to his departure overseas.

“It has been six months since I got back and this is a great new opportunity for me, at a new club”, explained Perkovic. “It is going to be very exciting to put a squad together, with the existing players already signed, and still with the options of adding some more”.

Perkovic will be assisted by Danny Wilson, a former player under Perkovic at Fraser Park, who will be involved in his first coaching role.

“The club is very pleased with the appointment”, stated St George president, Ross Gardner.

“David’s recent experiences should prove to be of great benefit, and he has already shown himself to be very thorough in his planning. I am sure that David will be a great asset to the Saints and that he will have the chance to enjoy success with our club”.
