St George v Southern Districts
Nine points were won last Sunday when our girls and women’s sides took on Southern Districts, winning both grades in seniors for the first time in four years….an excellent result.
The reserves gained their first win of the year with Gemma Brennan scoring the all important winning goal, for a 1-0 result, the second game in a row that we have kept a cleansheet, while first grade took all honours with a 3-1 win. Alana Humphries, Prue Pearson and Jess Carosi were our scorers.
First grade has now moved up to sixth while the reserves, after great results over the past two weeks, have jumped above Nepean, Sydney Olympic and Northbridge.
Our girls sides also had some success with Nicola Leech scoring in the 12s for a Saints 1-0 win but unfortunately the 14s and 16s both had losses by 1-0 and 3-0 respectively.
