Our young ladies do us proud

posted by Artie on Oct. 16, 2011

St George FC is proud to announce that four of our U12 girls from the 2011 season trialed for the Met East State Titles 2011 team, this year the competion was held in Dubbo.

Jacklyn Gabriel, Peta Koinis, Marissa Nicopoulos and Phoebe Hunter-Mole were all successful at trials and were seclected to be an intergral part of the team.
The girls had a wonderful time in Dubbo and the Met East U12's 2011 team was successful in being crowned winners of the U12 State Titles competition.

Jackie and Marissa each scored 3 goals which contributed to the goal tally scored throughout the competition. Peta once again put her body on the line and only conceded 4 goals.
Phoebe displayed some excellent football during the week.

As a result FNSW indentifed two of our St George girls Marissa Nicopoulos and Peta Koinis, for the Skills Aquisition Program NSW (SAP) and invited them to trial.

Marissa narrowly missed in gaining a position after her second trial, Peta was successful and was offered a position in the program.
We wish Peta the best of luck and we are proud that we have a NSW state keeper in our fold.

This is evidence that our St George FC girls have the skill, ability and talent to compete at all levels of competion.

On behalf of St George FC, the coaching staff, parents and supporters we are proud and supportive of our young talented players.
Congratulations to all the girls on their recent achievements and may this be just the beginning for a progressive and successful football career.
