Here we are at the mid-point of the competition and now the
competition for places in the play-offs will begin in earnest and that
should be a very interesting tussle if the last few weeks are anything
to judge by.
Once
again there were upsets galore this week and if that trend continues
the second half of the season should be very interesting indeed. Still,
it does make life interesting and more than makes up for the distinct
chill in the air.
Club Championship
Mt
Druitt Town Rangers moved to the top of the table when they bagged all
the points in their encounter with Nepean who have fallen back one place
to fourteenth while Camden Tigers slipped back to second after they
could take only six points when they hosted fifth placed Hakoah
Gladesville
Ryde Magic have remained at third after they earned nine points from
their home clash with fourth placed Stanmore Hawks and St George are in
sixth spot after they shared the points at seven apiece when they
visited seventh placed Hills Brumbies.
Eighth
placed Hurstville City Minotaurs pocketed eight points from their trip
to ninth placed Southern NSW, Springwood United are tenth after they
split the points at seven apiece with twelfth placed Inter Lions and
Northbridge moved up one place to thirteenth when they gained twelve
points at the expense of eleventh placed Balmain East Tigers.
In Round 8 catch-up action Springwood United took nine points from their encounter with St George.
Grade 13
Camden
Tigers held onto the top spot on the table when they went down 2-1 to
second placed Hakoah while Southern NSW remained at third after they
were 1-0 winners over Hurstville City Minotaurs who have dropped back
one place to seventh.
Fourth
placed Gladesville Ryde Magic produced a 3-0 victory when they faced
Stanmore Hawks who have slipped back one place to thirteenth and Mt
Druitt Town Rangers are fifth following their 2-0 win over Nepean who
dropped a place to tenth.
St
George climbed one place to sixth with a win by the odd goal in five
over Hills Brumbies who slipped back one place to ninth while Inter
Lions moved up two places to eighth when they were 2-0 winners over
eleventh placed Springwood United and Northbridge jumped one place to
twelfth when they posted a 2-1 success over fourteenth placed Balmain
East Tigers.
In Round 8 catch-up action Springwood United went down 3-0 to St George.
Grade 14
St
George surged to the top of the table when they were 3-0 winners over
ninth placed Hills Brumbies while Stanmore Hawks slipped back to second
after they were held to a scoreless draw by seventh placed Gladesville
Ryde Magic.
Third
placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers registered a stunning 7-0 result when
they faced Nepean who have dropped one place to thirteenth and Hakoah
are still fourth despite their 1-0 loss to Camden Tigers who have
climbed one place to fifth.
Balmain
East Tigers fell back one place to sixth when they lost 2-1 to
Northbridge who have moved up one place to twelfth while eighth placed
Southern NSW suffered a 1-0 loss to eleventh placed Hurstville City
Minotaurs and tenth placed Inter Lions produced a 1-0 victory over
fourteenth placed Springwood United.
In Round 8 catch-up action Springwood United lost 3-0 to St George.
Grade 15
Still
unbeaten, Mt Druitt Town Rangers are the competition frontrunners after
they produced a very strong 6-0 result when they faced thirteenth
placed Nepean and Southern NSW are holding down second spot following
their 2-2 draw with Hurstville City Minotaurs who have climbed one place
to sixth.
Gladesville
Ryde Magic are third thanks to their 2-1 victory over Stanmore Hawks
who have slipped back one place to seventh while Balmain East Tigers
managed to stay at fourth despite their 3-2 loss to tenth placed
Northbridge.
Camden
Tigers are still fifth even though they lost 2-1 to eighth placed
Hakoah and St George are ninth after they went down 3-0 to twelfth
placed Hills Brumbies while Springwood United are eleventh thanks to
their 3-1 success over fourteenth placed Inter Lions.
In Round 8 catch-up action Springwood United defeated St George 1-0.

Hakoah
took over the top spot on goal difference after they were 3-0 winners
over Camden Tigers who have slipped back one place to eighth while
Stanmore Hawks fell back to second when they were held to a 1-1 draw by
third placed Gladesville Ryde Magic.
Hills
Brumbies have retained fourth position after they were held to a
scoreless draw by St George who have dropped a place to seventh and
Springwood United have clung onto fifth place following their 1-1 draw
with Inter Lions who have fallen back one place to tenth.
Hurstville
City Minotaurs climbed two places to sixth with a 4-0 victory over
twelfth placed Southern NSW and Mt Druitt Town Rangers moved up one
place to ninth when they produced a 3-0 win over thirteenth placed
Nepean while Balmain East Tigers rose one place to eleventh thanks to a
3-2 win over fourteenth placed Northbridge.
In Round 8 catch-up action Springwood United were 3-1 winners over St George.
Grade 18
Camden
Tigers have retained their place on the top rung of the ladder on goal
difference after they were 1-0 winners over Hakoah who have dropped back
one place to tenth.
Hills
Brumbies in are second place thanks to their 5-3 success over fifth
placed St George with the Brumbies’ goals coming from Glen Kelshaw,
Mitchell Slee, Dario Di Guilio, Tomas Sarac and Brad Robertson.
Gladesville
Ryde Magic are sitting in third place after they were held to a 1-1
draw by fourth placed Stanmore Hawks and Mt Druitt Town Rangers are
sixth following their 2-1 victory over Nepean who have slipped back one
place to eleventh.
Springwood
United climbed one place to seventh when they were 2-1 winners over
twelfth placed Inter Lions and Hurstville City Minotaurs dropped a place
to eight when they were held to a 2-2 draw by fourteenth placed
Southern NSW who were registering their first point for the season while
Northbridge scooted two places up the table to ninth thanks to their
2-1 win over thirteenth placed Balmain East Tigers.
