It is with great sadness and regret that we report that Football NSW’ Competitions Manager Larry Grant passed away this morning (Monday 29th November 2010). Larry was a larger than life character. His contribution to the game was recognised many years ago when he was the recipient of the George Churchward Medal. At the time of his passing Larry was surrounded by his family. Larry was the backbone of Football NSW’s Competitions Department and his commitment to the game at all levels was herculean. He was a big man with a big heart. He had the common touch, his greatest joy was watching young people participate in the sport and having fun. He will be very much missed by all who make up the football family in NSW.
