Arrive Alive Women’s Super League Round 3 Review

The trip to the Central Coast looked like being a tough one for St George FC and so it proved.
St George certainly stayed with the home side early. Within the shadows of half time St George looked likely to get to the sheds at 0-0 and with a good share of the game. But three minutes from the break Stephanie Dalcol opened the scoring for The Lightning, followed one minute after the break by a second Central Coast goal from Ashleigh Morris.
Five minutes later Tamara Myers stretched the Lightning’s lead to three before, in the 55th minute, Elizabeth Shorter completed the scoring by adding Central Coast’s fourth goal.
St George tried hard to compete but this thirteen minute scoring blitz from The Lightning was too much, bringing St George’s unbeaten run to an end.
