It is with deep regret that we advise all players and officials of the St George SFA and St George FC of the passing on Monday 5th October of John Buckley. John was the Competition Secretary of the Association for 17 years and will be well remembered by many for his efforts in establishing and running the six a side competitions at Scarborough Park. He was also a strong supporter of St George FC as well as a former board member of St George Budapest Soccer Club. John was a life member of the Association as well as the Sans Souci Football Club. He was a tireless worker for football in this area and was a friend to many. John's devotion to football in St George was legendary and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The St George Football Club offers its deepest sympathy to Dot and her family and our thoughts are with them at this time.
