Arrive Alive Winter Super League interview with Natalie Di Francesco

This week we have a chat with Natalie Di Francesco, striker with the Arrive Alive Women’s Super League team St George FC.

1) Your name?

Natalie Di Fransesco

2) Your favoured playing position?

Striker

3) What was your first junior club?

Bangor Brumbies. I was a member of first female team at the club.

4) What made you take up football?

 I didn’t like netball. Also my Dad’s love of the game influenced me to try it.

5) Who has been your most positive influence on your football career?

There have been two. My Dad and my first rep coach, Peter Cookes

6) Which footballer do you admire most?

David Beckham

7) Do you have any match day superstitions (lucky socks, left shoe before right, etc)?

I wear the same socks and underwear to each match.

8) If you could have a dinner party with any three famous people who would they be?

David Beckham, Barack Obama and Cold Play

Why?

David Beckham because I admire him, Barack Obama because he is the President of the USA and he is the first black president and Cold Play because they are great musicians

9) What song best describes your approach to football?

When The Saints Go Marching In

10) Is there a particular pre game meal you like to eat?

I love my pasta.

11) What is your favourite football memory?

Winning the Grand Final with St George first grade in 2004.
