Under the guidance of former Socceroo, Wally Savor, and the St. George Football Club we would like to extend an invitation to all U/9 players to participate in a Pathway Program. This program will allow players the experience of training in a disciplined “rep” environment, and an opportunity for the St. George Football Club to prepare the young players for the discipline needed to succeed at a higher level. It will enable us to develop each player and watch their progress over an extended period of time. This will help us to make informed decisions in who should progress into the U/10 Colts Academy the following year. As most parents and coaches know all children develop at different stages and a 2 week trial for a select team can be very daunting. By participating at a higher level over a period of time, we hope to limit any nervousness that a child may experience when confronted with the competitive environment that a trial may bring on. This will also limit the chances of selection mistakes. When: Sunday 19th April 2009 Time: 10.30am start Where: Kingsgrove High School (entry off Kingsgrove Rd). Cost: $500 The program will consist of twenty 1.5 hour sessions, full strip and a ball.
